Sturgeon date back to pre-historic times yet are more critically endangered than any other species, largely due to over-fishing, poaching and pollution.
The sturgeon population has been in notable decline for many years. Following a worldwide ban on fishing wild stock, sturgeon fish farming has become a global phenomenon.
However, all conventional forms of caviar production still result in the death of the sturgeon. In the wild, a female sturgeon can live for more than 60 years, yet many are “harvested” as soon as they reach maturity at the age of six to ten years.

We reject the “slaughter” method of caviar production and only use new progressive technology where caviar is carefully and safely extracted from the abdominal cavity of female fish without any damage or harm to the sturgeon’s health.
As we don’t kill off our fish in their prime, they are able to produce ‘black gold’ repeatedly throughout their life.
In this way, we are helping to save the sturgeon from extinction by using a sustainable, ethical, no-harm process of caviar production.

It takes a lot of dedication to create the right conditions for the production of high quality caviar. Our fish farm uses the latest technology to control each stage of the sturgeon-rearing process, with rigorous quality checks performed by qualified technical staff.
Crystal-clear water is drawn from a natural underground source more than 50 metres deep which undergoes a second filtration process. Only pure, oxygenated water with precisely calibrated temperature and flow rates is provided for our fish.

Since the fish’s diet also plays a crucial role in the creation of excellent caviar, we take great care in developing the right feeding programme for our fish at each stage of their development using only the best imported sturgeon feed.
We do not use genetically modified ingredients or growth hormones in our sturgeons’ diet, nor do we use antibiotics.
The whole process from breeding to packaging takes place in our technologically advanced aqua facility which meets the highest standards of hygiene.
The caviar production is controlled by a team of specialists, including our qualified ichthyologist, who monitor the sturgeon and caviar at every stage of production ensuring that the caviar we produce meets the highest quality criteria.
